By gimmick, it could mean something in a similar vein to Dynamax, Z-moves, and Megas, OR, it could be a "theme" for that specific region's mons that is relatively unique to it, such as Gen 4 having a ton of cross gen evolutions or the Ultra Beasts in Gen 7
I'll start, personally I always though it'd be cool if Hoenn amped up the multiple pseudo thing a bit. I'd make Flygon (80/120/80/120/80/120) and Aggron (100/130/180/60/80/50) pseudos for 2 steel type pseudos and 2 dragon type pseudos. I'd like to make a water pokemon one for Wallace but the only one that's a 3 stage is Walrein which Glacia already uses or Ludicolo who I feel doesn't really seem like pseudo material, and it'd necessitate making Shiftry one too. The only interesting thing I could think of would be to give a retroactive second or an added third stage to Gorebyss and Huntail since they're so late game (you'd get them by leveling up with either a deepsea scale or tooth) and replace one of Wallace's pokemon with Gorebyss's evolution/Gorebyss, so that it'd be 2 2 2 Water, Dragon, and Steel pseudos for an even 6.
