A lot of these were tough choices, I could definitely make a full team of favorites for each type without repeating any pokemon. Going through the lists, struggling to pick one absolute favorite among several that I either love their design or used in a playthrough and really bonded with, all of which at one point in my life or another definitely would have been picked over the others, made me remember that I really do just love pokemon - all of them - in general, even if the games have felt lackluster for years and I stopped paying attention to the rest of the franchise long before that. Much the same way I look at nature and fall in love with the variety of animals and plants that all do special things or look cute/cool or have some significance either culturally or to me personally. Even when they aren't MY cup of tea I can still see why they would be someone else's favorite thing in the whole wide world.
It's a silly thing, coming from this thread on 4chan of all places, but thank you bros for reminding me this morning that the world is so full of wonder and beauty. 10/10 choices all around!
