Anina freezes as the gloppy hand rises from the putrid pile of slime. It's gi-fucking-gantic, and it's about to slam her to a pulp so that she won't live to tell this tale, or /ANY/ tale for that matter.
"PREPARE TO MEET YOUR FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE!"
The raging hand slams down to annihilate Anina, but for the strangest reason, moments pass after the hammer slams, but Anina sees that she's still alive and kicking it.
"H-Huh... H-How did..?"
"HAAAAAAUNTERRRR!""E-Ehhh!? H-Haunter, y-you uh, c-came!?"
Anina's trusty Haunter has suddenly manifested into existence to save the day! The phantom is right above her head, keeping her from getting squished by holding the giant hand back with his own essence.
"Whaaaat? A meddlesome little pint-sized ghost?! INCONSEQUENTIAL!"
"Haaaaaaaaau!"
Lashing out his tongue, Haunter uses Psychic to briefly stun the Black Sludge and drive him off momentarily. The plan works, the mind-screwing pink power messes with the sludge's sloppiness, he slowly retreats somewhat to reel back and mend wounds.
"BLECH! Unstabbed mind powers, THE WORST OF THEM ALL! YOU TOO SHALL BE DISINTEGRATED." a spiked mace formed out of goop rises out from the sludge, swinging around like a deadly wrecking ball.
"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaunterrrrrrrrr!"
Truly, this is why Haunters are a maniac's best friend.
