>>42919012>>shitposters will try to say this is okay because 'muh sales' or 'muh Stantler'The SS reveal trailer was appalling and a massive disappointment
>tons of "cities" with 5-10 shitty little buildings and walled off inaccessible areas>whole region was obviously another bunch of shallow regional stereotypes lazily glued together>MC was still poorly animated, pivoting around like a soldier marching in a parade with a constant blank expression on their face outside of select animations>endless montages of lifeless dirt roads, hallways, empty fields and might-as-well-be-tileset dungeons>didn't even bother to retain trivial and oft-requested features like following pokémon after it was *perfectly* implemented in the shitty rush job remake last year>that entire blatant pandering scene with the tall grass random encounter to reassure all of the mewling spergs that their "classic JRPG mechanics" were coming back and the formula will indeed remain intact and free of the tyranny of innovation well into the heat death of the universe>battles are still terribly animated snorefests>painfully obvious the whole way through that this was just a 3DS port with new assets and a better cel shading filterI remember /vp/'s response being at worst mixed to all of this shit, there were tons of excuses, tons of cope, even optimism and praise that lasted all until Game Freak revealed that you couldn't cringe through this next lazy rehash with Stantler, only after that point did anyone start pretending to care about anything I just listed. If they'd just kept the full dex, added a bit more RNG grinding to please the spergs and minimized those dreaded Kanto references, you wouldn't be calling SS a "half finished 3DS clone", you'd probably be hailing it as the greatest game in the franchise. And that's why I make fun of you, not because I actually care about these shitty games that I have not purchased.
