Well, David's ancestry is a bit muddier. His family doesn't have a "respectable" name. Most of his lineage is nomads jumping from one region to another. The closest he has is his recent lineage. His great grandmother (from mother's side) is from Kanto, and his great grandfather was from Paldea. When they had kids they moved to Johto, where his family stayed until his parents met. Both from Johto, they moved to Hoenn, and they live in Fallabor now. David is the "odd one", jumping from region to region.

Since David worked in security, he has dapper suits to spare. I imagine he will use suits mostly during his time in Unova.
