I wiped out Madelis's team first (only issue is that her Sharpedo's Surf gets TWO massive buffs on the water surface field, it literally turns into a 213 BP move before STAB) then killed the grunt.
Unfortunately the next major battle is MUCH harder and one of the most frightening battles of this entire run, not looking too forward to it.

Have fun going through Kanto, but it's arguably tougher than Johto in some respects, Dray really amped the Kanto gym leaders (won't have anything as evil as the rocket gauntlet though).
