Like giving Exeggcute a Sun Stone to evolve into a new Grass/Dragon pokemon than just another form of Exeggutor. Same with Alolan Raichu, make a new branched Electric/Psychic evolution of Pikachu instead
And then there regional forms who has it's own uniqe typing like Alolan Marowak being Ghost/Fire but it's pre evolution don't have it's own form like Cubone is still Ground type. Like why, is Gamefreak too lazy to make an Alolan Cubone?
Convergent Pokemon like Wiglett and Toadscool seems to be taking over as the new regional forms, those at least have to be different typings
