Vire: Well you see, something odd is happening up in Palder Forest up north. The plants seem to be dying at a rapid pace, the area seems to be becoming more and more hazardous, and the pokemon are turning feral.
As you know, not only is this forest one of our sources for food, but also our only path to Risellan City. If it turns too difficult to navigate, our village will be cut off from our vital resources and will die.
Oshawott: That sounds horrible mayor! But what can we do about it?
Vire: Well, you two seem pretty capable in a fight. You should be able to handle yourselves in the forest. Nobody seems to know what's wrong with the forest, or how to save it, but Xatu has told me that there's a supposed "King of the Forest" who would know what to do. I'd like you two to explore the forest and search for this so-called king. It may be a long shot, but our village depends on it...
