You can hear Chandelure humming delightfully while roaming in the smoke. It's a faint clue to where he might be, but hardly a decent giveaway. You still can't see shit cap'n, and Skrelp is faring no better.

The humming stops sounding adorable once Malva makes her next move.
"DROP DOWN, RIGHT ON TOP OF HIM!"

Just as Skrelp gets up after being hit by Flame Charge, Chandelure plummets from above and slams into him, forcing him back to the ground. Stuck between a chandelier and a hard place, Skrelp lets out a hoarse cry, he's losing steam fast.
"S-Shit... Skrelp, uh... HAZE! That's it--use Haze!"
Whether you planned on it or not, Skrelp was going to use Haze either way. His body pressured by Chandelure weighing on top of him, Skrelp's insides begin to muddy up, only for him to discharge it from every orifice in his body in the form of a black, grungy mist.

Needless to say, Chandelure is thoroughly disgusted by the gritty mist, and hoists himself away before he can be further defiled by its inkiness. In addition, he also loses the sweet speed boost he got earlier.
Skrelp lets out a sigh of relief, he's been waiting since Ambrette for you to tell him to use that move.
