So if we were just talking Gym Leaders and NOBODY ELSE it would probably be something like:
>Unova > Johto > Kanto > Paldea (carried by Iono/Larry/Grusha) > Galar > Hoenn > Sinnoh > KalosKanto Gym Leaders aren't anywhere near as popular as people say they are, it's just Brock and Misty are hard carried by the anime and Erika/Sabrina are cute. If we took that into account then Pryce would also be well known for his stint as the kiddy diddler in PokeSpe. Whitney, Jasmine and Clair are very well known and Morty is very popular so 4/8 isn't bad when I had to count Paldea's current popularity as 3/8. Galar might beat Kanto or Johto, but they're starting to fall off now that SwSh isn't the hot new thing anymore
Shout outs to Alola who despite not having Gym Leaders are probably more popular than any of the characters I've talked about regardless
