I just like the designs too much, and despite always placing myself at snowpoint city and loving ice types if ''it was real'' the OPs criteria require a diverse team. So outside of snowy settings I'd settle for Hoenn
>Linoone
Great scout, can find useful things for me, agile and potentially useful in battle
>Banette
Also useful for other forms of scouting, I'd imagine it to seep through walls and stuff, great for intimidation factor and due to typing/move set can hold it's own against whatever I might find
>Walrein
Broest pokemon of them all, my favorite, though not ''out of ball'' material, he can take the pain and get me across the vast waters where my journey takes me (My ''starter'')
>Torkoal
Sturdy battler, found in Fiery Pass, fire types are kind of useful for providing well, heat/fire. Plus they cover a broad range of types to battle
>Altaria
My means of fast travel, getting me wherever is required, able to lull opponents to sleep and have the dragon typing gets it a very useful spot
>Manectric
Provides electricity, fast and capable in battle, electric typing covers others a lot
>Shiftry
Provides two typings that cover a lot together, mainly for battling
>Lunatone
Psychic, great typing, and who needs physical strength when you can just levitate everything that is in the way? (Walrein and Torkoal themselves likely have enough strength to move anything other) Intelligence helps me locate things also, great in combination with the two scouts outside.
