The one time I let an Emboar resolve a Rock Slide on my Talonflame stuck with me out of sheer absurdity
I think those "who runs this?" picks do steal wins on occasion because no one knows what surprise coverage moves they have but they aren't consistent against the unga bunga meta that plagues GL nowadays
