I can understand you like one or other character, but to pick that and then say the character makes the show (Serena is not even the MC, Ash is) and then suggesting the show should adapt to the character (or rather, your own imaginary concept of said character).
I think you're taking it too far specially when there's a market offering the exact same product you're looking for.
I want you to realize how pointless is to expect this show to change to suit you better when there're lots of other shows catering for your kind of audience.
