>>22004065This is what is called denial folks, say what you want, this thread is full of serena shipping but really hints have been dropped throughout the anime even after Misty's temporary departure, there is no way to say what is planned for serena but clearly the writers would not make her and Ash a couple as 1.) Satoshi does not think of girls like that generally EXCEPT for several exceptions where he showed genuine affection/love for Misty, 2.) serena is a brand new character and is only there to represent the player character from Pokemon X and Y who never even meets Satoshi in the games, so how could they possibly be a couple as she will obviously be replaced by May (possible as a foreshadowing for Misty return) or more likely the protagonist of the next games although more and more it seems likely that Misty will return permanently and possibly even replace Ash as protagonist for the next season of the TV show.

Misty owns Togepi which was never shown to evolve to its final state
Misty was one guardian of the GS ball which has been yet to be revealed and will likely be involved in the final arc of Ash's story/Misty's return
Misty is the leader of Cerulean Gym which means that she is a qualified member of the Pokemon League, perhaps even possible that she could become a Great Trainer and succeed to a seat of the Elite Four, if Ash makes it to the Plateau at the end of this story arc it's very likely Misty will be one of his toughest opponents, if she defeats Satoshi she could rise to Champion which would be the beginning of Misty as main protagonist perhaps even replacing Ash
