That's why the other anon was being called a moron for conflating the two. AI is a field of research, meaning there are different subsections of field and technology under the same AI banner. I'll share a visual aid here to better explain it. Generative AI is dogshit, but the pretty much all of the actual innovation the technology is producing (like using machine learning to better train something like NPC AI to navigate a 3D environment better.)
