>>44096726So, what does this all mean? Probably just that a Sound/Music type was considered, but it doesn't seem to have even made it to ever have been implemented in the games, at least from what's known. It seems that early on in development they wanted to add new types of Pokemon to the sequel games, as we see plenty of Pokemon in the Korean assets with obvious Steel and Dark aesthetics to them, but they weren't sure what types to add or for what purpose. By Spaceworld '97 they knew they wanted Steel and Dark, but they hadn't realized they wanted to nerf Psychics at that point (the only real nerf to Psychic was that wasn't very effective against Dark types. Not even immune).
The only other thing I'd wish to add was that Jigglypuff was very popular around this era, so it could've worked great as an ambassador Sound type mon, like Magnemite was. Also Sound fits in well with the idea of nerfing Psychics if that was somehow their idea from the beginning and they just didn't know how far to take it in Spaceworld, since Music distracts a thinking mind.
Anyways, that's all for my theory of a Sound/Music type. Any thoughts or opinions?
