>>45186618>Feel free to point out where I suggested anything remotely similar to this.Don't be a disingenuous cunt, you know damn well that's been a common defense of SWSH being a low quality piece of shit.
>You can think it's bad all you want, it doesn't mean you're right. Love them or hate them, open-world games have very wide appeal. They've got to be doing something right.Because the average person is content with doing the exact same thing day in and day out until the end of fucking time. It's the same reason CoD continues to sell, ubishit games continue to sell, and and why yearly sports games continue to pollute the world with more discarded plastic every year. I don't know why, roaming around and fucking around is something most people don't get bored with and it bores me to tears.
I'll be completely honest with you, anon, I wouldn't be nearly as salty as I am if every other aspect of the game hadn't been compromised to achieve open world. And I knew it would be. I'd been following these games most of my life and knew by now open world in Pokemon would mean everything I actually loved would be either scaled down or stripped away entirely, and that's exactly what happened with SWSH.
That's why SWSH is bad. It's a half baked, stripped down, unpolished piece of shit that's not even as good as other open worlds. All the open world portion even has is catching pokemon and doing raids. There's nothing actually worth exploring, it's all regions of different Pokemon to catch, you aren't changing tactics to try and find or encounter them, and there's no mind blowing physics to tamper with like BotW. It's so lackluster for a genre I already find woefully lackluster to begin with.
