>>53880327Ash was a more fun character towards the start, I gotta agree. I didn't mind him as much in MPM though. His more thoughtful and level headed depiction there supported the whole "I actually know what the hell I'm doing this time" vibe they seemed to be going for with the miniseries. It was neat to see him handle some situations very differently (and more effectively) than he would have before. It was an interesting angle, even if the mistakes and recklessness are part of what made him more fun before.
I do agree however that for the most part late series Ash was just a bland nothing of a character though that they tried to project whatever seemed popular at the time onto.
