>>46101931Pokefags are emotionally stunted adults who justify their childishness by pointing to a fictional 10 year-old and going "Look! He stagnated! I didn't stagnate as much haha!" It's a rather pathetic method of cope, essentially the opposite of self-inserting which is what Red is, the self-insert of the same manchildren that feel 'superior' to a fictional child for clearing the Elite Four.
You have retards like
>>46112286 who somehow root it to 'early Kanto' when the same nostalgia fags that shit on Ash constantly wank off OS and assume Ash is the same as he was in OS with absolutely zero character development or progression as a trainer. They didn't hate OS Ash. They claim to hate that Ash never grew past OS because he 'never won a league', which is complete nonsense that only an utter moron that never watched the story beyond OS would claim.
In reality Ash is rich, has a good reputation in-universe, is connected with every single influential person in the world, is a Frontier Brain, Champion of Alola and will inevitably be among the Top 8 strongest trainers in the world within two-three years all in under a year in-universe. He's one of the most finely developed characters in fiction with an endless mythos to draw from for analysing his character, his development as a trainer and his dynamics with the thousands of humans and pokemon he has encountered and interacted with over the 1000+ episodes he has been featured in.
In short, manchildren who find value in clearing pathetically easy Pokemon games shit on Ash to feel 'superior' to their childhood icon but they base their understanding of said icon on episode count and real life passage of time as well as their memories of OS Ash whilst ignoring utterly that the entire story is less than a year and that Modern Ash is nothing like Original Ash.
