*The only exceptions to the rule that one-bar moves should ALWAYS be stronger are certain signature moves. Meteor Mash, Psystrike etc. should still probably be stronger than a one-bar move, even if the one bar move should be stronger than other two bar moves of the same type.
Also, why the FUCK does Niantic not give the Earthquake/Brave Bird-treatment to one bar moves that are absolute shit?
Moves like Flash Cannon, Future Sight, Thunder, Zap Cannon, Megahorn, Stone Edge and many, many others are absolute fucking shit. They're just ridiculously bad.
There's so many Pokémon that could be viable in PVE if they just had good moves. And since Niantic wants to be an asshole and refuses to give non-canonical moves to Pokémon, or they're afraid they'd be OP in PVP with better moves, they're stuck with fucking terrible moves that Niantic COULD buff for PVE only. But no. They buff one move every 2 years and even then it remains strictly worse than two bar moves of the same type.
Speaking of which, why are there such insane differences between two bar moves of the same type? Compare something like Bulldoze and Earth Power. There's no fucking reason for their performance to be that different in Pokémon Go. I get it in the MSG, but PoGO is wholly different with much, much more simplified mechanics.
The fact that Mamoswine is a top tier pick as an Ice Attacker but such an average Ground type attacker despite getting two bar moves for both types is so fucking stupid.
And before you cry about balancing, that not all Pokémon can be as good: This isn't about the Pokémon. This is about the moves. The stats of the Pokémon are what balance them.
I fucking hate that Niantic has made so many otherwise perfectly adequate Pokémon just utter trash by giving them useless moves that are useless for NO FUCKING REASON.
It's not like fucking Aggron would be OP with Rock Throw and Rock Slide.
