>>51925585The anime is a major part of advertisement regardless of if you like it or not. both the pokemon anime and the pokemon Sunday show are places where "the company" can advertise new merch and other things of that nature. they have 2, TWO dedicated timeslots to show new things. looking for an example? Ashs JN team is an excellent example every one of his team members is and was a very popular mon(except maybe dracovish beforehand) Piplup, Eevee are other very popular mons. The entire reason there is a pokemon anime in the first place and the reason many (not all) anime even exist at all is to shill whatever game, manga, or whatever so people buy merch.
