I do agree that any character you meet for the first time should say their name to you, so you can roleplay without stopping in every new chat to ask them. It's a TINY bit autistic but it's a little immersion breaking to me personally if I just act familiar with them and there's no in-setting reason for me to know it.
Still, I draw the line at "I'm a young girl from _____" though. That's silly.
