No longer are you able to do as you wish and contest people's views, instead you must contain your views, discard and conform, unless you are able to find likeminded individuals with similar views so that you may circlejerk forever with them over how your view is the objectively correct one. That, and you're also regularly tested on an unspoken basis to prove your allegiance to those views by reaffirming them in some shape or form.
But fuck, it's not even about setting political agendas, it's about making sure your data is as appetizing to the highest bidder as possible. ALL of this is because big corpo wants to control what kind of information flows through the internet in order to boil it down to its purest and most valuable information, so that they can profit massively off of that data from those looking to collect that data and then sell it to OTHER companies, who will use it in their algorithms in order to continue feeding the data harvest cycle by providing more content in which you will engage with, which will create more data, which can be further harvested, sold, and then sold again so it can be used to determine how the next content should be created.
