Tbh they're gonna get third/fourth versions out by next fall so they can add in a couple hundred more Pokemon, revamp story, and add postgame much like USUM so they can save face with all the bad press around this game.
Sinnoh remakes the following year.
Either way no way they're going to skip a year, they're just gonna keep SWSH raid events going until the next game so they can keep people playing constantly.
