Am I just in the minority now? Are we really in an era where all it takes is a few cute characters and some overblown VFX to get people to overlook everything wrong with a game? I've been playing pokemon games for 20 years...I remember being a confused little gradeschooler trying to figure out how to get through rock tunnel and being ridiculed in HS for playing emerald in the middle of the cafeteria. This is the first time I've actually NOT wanted a Pokemon game and seeing all of my friends go "But Hatterene...and Alistar....and waifus!" is making me wonder if my feelings even fucking matter anymore.
