And you see tons and tons of interviews of how the devs respect and enjoy their medium, but Pokemon at it's very CORE is made to squeeze as much money out of little shits. From it's designs being watered down to have kids memorize them more, to the products, we have Pokemon Plus Plus for fuck's sake, and all you ever heard during LGPE was Excuses of how "Kids these days are so attached to their phones! They don't have that level of attention to play games anymore!" and having reused animations for not only your Pokemon but your characters as well, and reducing the latter into just archetypes to pat you on the back and give you free shit.
