Only reason people dislike the music in the new series is because, unlike past series, the new OST is mostly original tracks rather than music from the games, so people can't recognize most of the music and that pisses them off
The truth is that this original music fits the scenes better than game music and it's miles better than the OST from the BW-XY-SM anime. Miyazaki's music stopped being good a long time ago and the anime's OST had been shit ever since they stopped using the OS soundtrack
