Media teaches kids lessons. Pokémon teaches children that continuing throwing yourself at a problem will eventually need to success. If you blackout in Pokémon you will just restart at the last Pokémon center and you'll retain all the level ups you got meaning you can continuely fail in order to win. Also Ash in the first Pokemon movie tries to punch Mewtwo twice because he feels the need to try to defeat Mewtwo's evil even though he can't. With this in mind it's actually surprising that there aren't more spergs like me who will rebeat this dead horse sporadically until the end of time.
No matter how many other games I play, no matter how much grass I touch, no matter how outside I go, and no matter how much sex I have. I will always eventually feel the need to start this bullshit again. Because that's what I was taught.
