>>44752143It was nice for the types to have their own identity and the attacking stats to not just be rock/paper/scissors based on defensive stats, and the split was a jump in the powercreep, but newer pokemon are balanced (to the limited extent that GF balances anything) around having access to STAB based on their best stat moreso than they were before the split, so it's not really that bad.
