>>48300431Brendan 2 wouldn't be worth talking about, but I miscalculated just how monstrous his Crawdaunt is and it did take Garnet down mid-Quiver Dance sweep, RIP. Didn't end up fighting any of the optional Johto leaders.
Surge and Erika were...both kind of disasters, honestly, my 'plan' for both of them fell apart because both of them were addicted to switching. Not going to play-by-play since it got incredibly obnoxious.
Surge mostly pivoted around his Vikavolt, luring my Magnezone in so he could then Volt Switch out to something I'd have to try and bring a counter into. Once they were all dead, the Vikavolt just barely went down, leaving Magnezone in single digits.
Erika was the same, except for Sudowoodo. She did not like Ruby, at all, constantly fucking switching in and out of him. I had burned Sudowoodo early in the battle so it basically became a game of me chipping away at her mons while swapping from Ruby to Quartz.
Now time for absurd money grinding. Can't wait.
>>48300740That's fair. That's definitely part of the struggle for streamlining grinding, but personally while I almost always do clench up when a mon dies, I've also seen a lot of mons die. You just get kind of used to it.
>>48301883Good work anon, that's probably one of the most original teams I've seen in a Johto run
>>48302878>>48300660Nice, personally I dislike that 'by-the-books' rule. Seems to make runs more artificially difficult at best and luck based at worst
>>48302918You'd think so right? But apparently according to the Discord, the creator removed that function. Blows my fucking mind, especially since this isn't just a problem with the Cosmog, it's also a problem if you want to get Game Corner mons/fossils at level 100.
And you know what really kills me? In Steven's house postgame, he leaves you Meltan instead of Beldum. Guess what? It's level locked to 5 and doesn't scale with you. Why not the others?
I like the game but jesus fuck
