>>54363634Exactly, its why so many of the paradox pokemon conflict with the pokemon they’re based. We know the backstory of Raikou and Suicune. So how can an “ancient” version exist. If these pokemon are pokemon from the past/future, why are they so different to the pokemon of the present in conflicting ways. If they are from the past/future why are there sightings of them decades before the time machine was made? It’s purposely meant to conflict with the “time travel” assumption the plot tells you.
People seem to forget that characters in a fictional world can be wrong. People are used to “character says thing in game, therefore that must be a fact”. However Im leaning more on the “dreams becoming true” idea. “What if I could make my pokemon change type?” “What did this pokemon look like in the past?” “What will this pokemon look like in the future?” At the end of the day, I think we can agree that it isn’t time travel but something else
