At the very least you could always inject a Glameow or catch one in the post-game, now neither of those are possible. And you see, it's a certainty that even more forgettable Pokémon than Glameow will be introduced in the future, ones that are practically guaranteed to not appear in the next installment. If they continue this practice, eventually a large majority of new Pokémon will end up like Glameow; only appearing in a single generation, and then no more. Only it will be a far worse fate than Glameow has suffered up to this point.
