There may be “gen 5” designs in Pokémon but not necessarily monster designs. What I mean is that the people designing the Pokémon take careful notice as to not make them gen 5. Take Meloetta for example, it has circles for hands, a round face with no nose, no feet and no shoulders but it was designed to have a general humanoid body plan. lt basically it lacks actual gen 5 traits aside from how it renders small features like those. Contrast this to some of the gen 5 mon who are essentially very gen 5 like both in traits and bodyplan.
