Alright, so I made two fuck-ups.
1. I tried to run away from a wild bellsprout while training my geodude, Hammer. I should have switched out and then ran, but alas, I am an idiot. This resulted in my first death.
2. I overgrinded on accident. I'm not sure if it's the remakes that fucked me up or something, but I had it in my head that Falkner's pidgeotto was level 11, so I grinded my 'mons to that level. However, I don't have an actual rule about overleveling and I think it would have gone the same way either way, so I'm not that upset.
