SV really isn't that different from the other fairygens, not different enough that I think you have to give up on the usual Smogon approach to balance anyways. Like Water Garg and Volcarona were really good in the post-Espathra meta, but they weren't head and shoulders better than everything else. Compared to what SV was like in the few weeks after release, I think that's good evidence that SV isn't innately imbalanced compared to any other generation.
