To be honest when I first watched the dub as a kid I really didn't care for Mewtwo and found him to be an extremely unlikable character with an unjustified, hamfisted redemption arc.
Of course once I watched the director's cut of the Japanese dub, my perspective of Mewtwo and the movie has changed significantly. It's a dammed shame the majority of the fans out there do not know about the complete version of the movie which makes Mewtwo a much more complex intriguing character.
