IVs/(hidden)EVs are a shit, legendaries being allowed in competitive is also stupid. Z-crystals and Megas were a mistake (Megas could have worked better if they were still releasing new ones to this date and not just made it gen 6's gimmick and left it there).
There should be a more official arena type game like Stadium/Revolution with actual animations and depth to it, not just sprites / 3DS limited models. Stealth rock being a one turn set-up that is often better than even 3 layers of spikes. The balancing of mons often depending on their popularity in the anime.
Anything else I missed?
Change at least a few things from that and it could become a pretty entertaining battle to watch / participate in.
Personally I'd also like to see a rule in where when you win a battle in a tournament you must swap your team to not have any repeating mons, that way there would be a lot more variety than, well, what there is now.
>>35267908Not that anon but if you don't think Pokemon has any RNG strings attached to it then you're plain wrong. Almost every high end move has a 10, 20, 30% secondary effect that can tip the scale of the battle, most moves also have varying accuracy that can result in misses at crucial times and to top it off random Crits.
