That being said, I strongly prefer Gen 5's dex over Gen 6. Gen 6 had some great designs, but it's piss poor quantity made me have less favorites compared to 5. Plus, the treatment Bug got single-handedly made Gen 5 for me. 5 at best was a mixed bag in terms of quality(half of the designs were bland to trash-tier while the other half were decent to god-tier.) Quite a varied selection of designs.
Gen 7 is the pinnacle of quality over quantity as the UBs enabled Gamefreak to bypass their artistic limits. Which spices up things a little.
