no, I actually added them because they contribute a lot to my opinion of the Pokémon. I liked Charizard less before it had Mega Y and more before it had a Giganta, for example.
Didn’t factor in other evolutionary stages.
I really don’t care for most starters, even the ones I had when I was little. Poor Emboar was my first but I can’t really put it any higher than C without going “yeah but it’s not THAT good”. The design could be really cool with just a few tweaks but unfortunately they decided to forgo those in favor of what we got and gave its official art a very stiff pose just to seal its fate further. Oh well.
Mostly ranked by design. My favorite trio overall is Hoenn’s. Ended up boxing after Galar, but Alola and Kalos got damn close.
