I love both Kanto and Johto, so the past six years have been weird in that I've seen the former prioritized for forms while the latter has kind of been put aside. But eh, it is not as if most of these forms even appeal to me (just Mega Pidgeot, Alolan Vulpix and Sandhrew lines, Alolan Marowak and Giganta Butterfree), so it isn't really worth obsessing over. The modern games have bigger problems than Kanto pandering.
I hope that the upcoming anime series showcases neglected Kanto and Johto Pokemon - not just new forms. Mew will apparently shine at the very least.
