I love how Azumarill has gone so far since it was introduced. Gen II it was a pretty standard water-type, Gen III introduced its amazing Huge Power ability, Gen IV gave it physical water moves, Gen V... didn't do much for it except permanent rain, and Gen VI sends it skyrocketing into top viability with new Fairy-typing and breeding mechanics.

Steroid bunny for life. (fuck BDJet though, I prefer Assault Vest variants)

Since gen 2 it has won me over with its bunny charm and it always seems to end up on my team.
It's even been my first 6IV breed on XY and that makes it even more special.

I don't know about you guys, but I have much better luck with focus blast than I do with play rough. My cousin and I both use Azumaril on our teams and both of us miss with play rough literally once every game. And it's supposed to be 90% accurate!

the thing that definitely walls Azumarill to scare it away is Mega Venusaur. you'd have to use a mega slot for it, but I guarantee Azu won't be a problem with that bitch facing against the bunny. funny how Mega Venu is my favorite mega..

if you do NOT want to use a mega slot for it, I suggest Skarmory. the defensive bulk it has will usually force Azumarill to a) buff, or b) switch. make sure you utilize whirlwind or taunt to keep that Belly Drum from being a problem.
a Rocky Helmet would be great too, but giving that up for leftovers recovery isn't a swell idea. unless you're going into battle spot territory.
