Pretty much every classic depiction of this Region features a much more detailed setting. The game also generally lets you do whatever you want after Misty, and feels more like an outdoor adventure that naturally piques your curiosity. It's cool to stumble across something like the abandoned Power Plant or Seafoam Island on your own. Whereas Unova has you on a scripted path most of the time with few natural wonders.
>>50666531I think it is? It looks really small for what it's trying to be. An amusement park city, with big sports arenas, concert halls, etc. BW is in this weird zone between abstraction and 3D, but the 3D modeling isn't there yet.
