Beat my first ever hardcore Nuzlocke, although I cheated by using rare candies instead of grinding 8 levels on all my pokemon before the E4 because fuck the grind at the end of a run.
Lost Gyarados on Lucien to the calculator being a filthy liar, it said max roll was 40%...I even had the right IVs/nature on, oh well. Luckily I didn't end up needing it for Cynthia.
Rotom, Magnezone were my MVPs for Cynthia. Magnezone despite sucking for most of the E4 was just really useful to have here, demolished Spritomb, beat Milotic and helped on Togekiss. Rotom couldn't do much damage but levitate + ghost type was invaluable for pivoting aura spheres/garchomp. My Garchomp was faster so Rotom -> Magnezone -> Garchomp let me get the kill on hers while taking minimal damage.
Only regret is my basic bitch team but I sure as fuck am not good enough to beat this hardcore with weaker pokemon.
