Pretty much the same, was excited at first, during the lull of info I began to become less and less interested, then the direct dropped and I was pretty happy with what we saw other than Dynamax. Then E3 came and took me outside behind the barn and shotgunned me through the fucking face.
Ever since it's been a constant cycle of anger, disappointment, bargaining, and legitimate sadness.
At this point I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that there's nothing I can really do, and my favorite video game franchise is unabashedly just a catalyst to sell merch. I mean, it has been for a while. But even shit like USUM had places where you could see they tried, and they did care, they just didn't execute properly.
But SS just looks like a product where the cronies at the top like Masuda and Ishihara just didn't give a single shit.
There's really only one question I have at this point and that's what Ohmori's role in all of this was, for some reason I don't believe him to be even remotely the bad guy, I feel as if he truly just wants to make good games but isn't allowed to do the things he wants to do. I don't know anything about the guy personally, but that's just the impression I get from him.
Masuda can burn on a fucking pike for all I care though, he lost his passion and instead of moving on he decided to drag a franchise that so many people internally and externally care so much about through the fucking mud, and that's just unforgivable in my eyes.
