"Ne ne, deneeee!"
With a whip of his tail, Dedenne summons a series of afterimages throughout the battlefield, all of which plop into the water and experience the same waterlogged struggle. This is where the plan kicks in.
"Deden!~" a particularly cute afterimage of Dedenne pops out of the water. It is about to start enjoying life when the real Dedenne hops up on its head and forces it underwater. Its sacrifice as a living platform keeps the real Dedenne from dying a watery doom.
"Kush kush.~" oblivious to his own carnage, Dedenne rubs his whiskers.
