>bibiprobably starts out feeling super strongly about fate before cooling off on the idea. i'd imagine she uses it to rationalize why life is so unpredictable and fortune fickle. during the events of sv, of course it's her "destiny" to crush the competition, it's how the powers that be are making it up to her for having the majority of her life up to that point be so shitty. as she becomes more self aware and willing to own up to her actions she tucks away most of her grandiose ideas about fate and destiny in favor of looking at how her decisions shape her life. that being said, she still thinks that there are just some things nobody's got any control over. i also imagine she'd lean into the idea of things being destined when something lucky/romantic happens just due to her girlish/whimsical streak
>altowhile he might talk about fate or destiny during his chuunibyou spiels, it's just part of the bit, he's definitely a "master of my own destiny" sort of guy. sure there are just some things you can't control, but he refuses to think anything in life is set in stone or preordained and sees the idea of fate as an excuse people use to not try harder to change their life's circumstances....though i guess that's a pretty chuuni outlook in its own way
