It doesn't matter how much of a self-proclaimed weeb a person is, if they exist outside chances are they're a normalfag with normalfag tastes and can't accept anything different. The first test is the anime they watch. If they like shonen, traps, entry-level anime, shit like that, don't ever expect or even hope that they'll accept or relate to your tastes and display anything more than negative quadruple IQ. I still feel bad for you that this happened but I hope you get over this soon, I hope you cut ties with them, I hope you learn for the future, but more than anything I hope this doesn't get in the way of your love for Mikan.
