https://pokemongolive.com/post/riolu-hatch-day?hl=en>What is a Hatch Day?>Similar to Pokémon GO Community Days, Research Days, or Raid Days, Hatch Days are focused around specific featured Pokémon.>And with Hatch Days, it all comes down to hatching! You’ll have a greatly increased chance of hatching the featured Pokémon from 2 km Eggs and an increased chance of hatching a Shiny featured Pokémon—that’s pretty egg-citing!>The first Hatch Day will feature Riolu, the Emanation Pokémon. Get those Incubators ready and see just how many Riolu you can hatch in three hours during the event! Why won't they say what's actually happening during this event? They say you'll have an increased chance of hatching Shiny Riolu from 2km eggs, that eggs will give 2x stardust, that 2km eggs will be more common. They're not even gonna give us a hatch bonus?
Not much else stands out, except of course the part that this is only for THREE hours. Three hour Community Days and Research Days are one thing, but there's no way I'm hatching more than 5 eggs in the span of three hours without dumping incubators. Even assuming Riolu is a guaranteed hatch (which it almost certainly isn't) and that the shiny rate is similar to Research Day shiny rate (which might also not be accurate), that gives me roughly a 50% chance to hatch a shiny without using premium incubators. Do they think adding incubators as a rare showcase reward justifies the existence of these events? Really feels like the only people that would benefit from this type of this event will be whales and spoofers.
