I'm definitely in the "handplay is underrated" crowd as well, and I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment of hands having a lot of creative potential in giant/tiny interactions (especially of the fatal kind). Your Melony story had a decent amount of finger/hand imagery, now that I think about it.
