I have only ever played red/blue and yellow, and pokemon go. Im 39 btw. My youngest brother and sister are playing sword/shield. Neither play pokemon go. I asked if either had lets go over christmas while they were showing my daughter their pokedex because you can get some sort of weekly loot box thing on pokemon go by linking to a lets go account or something like that. They both looked at me incredulously. I always go to them to ask stupid questions like what is a rayquaza and what is a z-move and what is a mega-charizard because i was an adult when all those games came out and im still proud about memorizing the indigo song for the first 150. Im a kanto fag at heart i guess but i dont understand how so many people played all those games and got 850 pokemon or whatever the count is and were like, fuck this version. Lets go pikachu sounds to me like a modern upgraded version of yellow which was one of the great games of all time, up there with goldeneye and mario 64. Sword and shield looks stupid compared to pokemon go imo, like im maxing out my lucario by walking irl and they are doing this gigantamax thing with some shitmon with two pillars or something.
